Computer performance is an important factor in the success of simulation applications. In this study, the current trend of using multiprocessor configurations for large-scale military and industrial real-time simulation is recognized, and computer performance evaluation methods, performance degradation factors in multiprocessor real-time simulation environments, and performance evaluation models are discussed. Verification of three models with examples and the application of the models to selection of computer systems for real-time simulation are addressed.
