In the last ten years low loss copper clad laminates have won widespread acceptance for fabricating a versatile new form of microwave circuitry called stripline. Yet there are not at present any standardized tests for evaluating the dielectric properties of stripline substrates. This paper is directed particularly to materials and measurement engineers who have some familiarity with general microwave measurements, but require an introduction to the special problems involved in testing stripline materials.
