摘要

This paper describes a new project to design and implement an object repository for use in a heterogeneous distributed system. The primary goal of this work is to provide a convenient medium for sharing of information among programs written in many different programming languages. In addition, the repository will provide highly reliable and highly available storage for objects entrusted to it.
