This work presents results of the hydrodynamic separation teste on classificated sample of energetic coal from the sites Novaky, Handlova and Cigel (Slovakia). Experiments were realized on laboratory equipment constructed according to the CS patent.The clearing effect was observed on all investigated samples. Significant qualitative change was obtained in the fraction ranged over 1,0 mm futher in the sample from site Novaky, favourable quantitative parameters were obained at one stage operation. After repeated cleaner operations ash contens decresed from 38% to 11% at 59% mass percentage at sample of energetic coal from Novaky particle diameter 1,0 – 1,5 mm.
