The AFPM machine is widely used in many applications due to its advantages. But the conventional AFPM machine met the major problem, which is largc magnetic attraction between the rotor and the stator. As a results, deformation of rotor disk and unbalanced air gap are produced. For these reasons. It is required designing structure of rotor disk more strongly. In mechanical part, to design rotor disk structure, they need a data which is attraction force distribution between magnet and stator core. This paper proposed an analytical method to calculate the normal force and torque using quasi 3D model to design rotor disk. In the full paper, the characteristic will be represented and verified by analytical and FEM results.
