An integrated set of technical measures to support earned value management and technical review

Successful experience with the use of key technical performance indicators, in arnnumber of projects in various businesses within the group, has allowed us to define a coherentrnset of key technical indicators. This set provides a comprehensive “health check” showing thernstatus and current achievement of a project, and supports risk assessment and earned valuernmanagement by providing an objective view of the current level and trend of solution maturity,rnrequirements compliance, and residual uncertainty.rnThe set includes requirements and verification status, estimate of performance against keyrntechnical requirements, estimate of solution maturity, cost drivers, and issue close-out. The paperrnpresents the rationale and philosophy of the approach, and shows examples of the measures inrnaction.
