This paper briefly introduces demand and importance of encapsulation technology,progress in encapsulation technologies for organic light-emitting device and organic solar cells,gives a detailed description to the specific technologies of film encapsulation,their advantages and disadvantages,and encapsulation effect attainable.The prospect of overlapping composite films to encapsulate the light-emitting diode display devices and organic solar cells is discussed.
