摘要

The high levels of TG can cause hypertriglyceridemia, one of the risk factors for the development of atherosclerosis [1-2]. Up to the present time, activated Charcoals [3] and heparin-agarose gels [4] have been used to remove TG from human body. In our previous work [5], we have prepared a novel TG adsorbent-Sulfated hydroxyethylated Crosslinked Chtosan and studied their adsorption properties for TG in Serum. Good results have been adcheved. We also found that crosslinked N,O-CM Chitosan was capable of adsorbing TG in serum. Chitosan is a natural polysaccharide, a non-toxic and a blood compatible material so that it may be converted into a bioadsorbent.
