A numerical modeling of human body is established by dividing it into various layers for calculating the electric field strength distributions inside and outside the man model, which is exposed to cellular phone radiation at a frequency of 900 MHz and a power of 0.5 W. Calculations are made by using the finite difference time-domain (FDTD) method. A type of imaginary microwave absorber, which is attached to the edges of the problem geometry, is used to simulate the absorption boundary required by the application of the FDTD method. The results are useful for the further study of the effects on the human body of the radiation from cellular phones.
