摘要

The vision function is easy to visualize and therefore is the most easy to understand among various human mental activities. We use a genetic algorithm to verify the proposition in a natural manner that it is necessary to have consciousness and abstract consideration ability to carry out higher functions of human activities. It may give partly a solution to the question of why the consciousness exists. In the paper we generate creatures having stereo perception ability composed of a neural network. The stereo perception ability is a basis for spatial perception. This spatial perception ability is also a basis of predicting a future target position which we can regard as one of the spatial reasoning functions of the creatures.
