The purpose of the present paper is to study epidemiologic analysis of morbidity rate for acute myocardialinfarction (AMI) among persons exposed to long-term occupational influence of radiation factor. Cohort study of morbidityrate for AMI was performed during the period 1998-2002. The object of research was the whole population of Seversk on theterritory of which the Siberian Group of Chemical Enterprises (SGCE) to be the biggest world complex of atomic industry islocated. SGCE personnel mainly was of particular interest for the analysis. The workers of the support production having nocontact with ionizing radiation (IR) sources turned out to be the "internal control" for the personnel of the main production to bein contact with IR sources.There has been revealed statistically significant increase of standardized relative risk (SRR) of AMI development for thepersonnel exposed to long-term impact of external γ-radiation with respect to the personnel without exposure (with comparableage and sex structure and the level of examination performed) (SRR for males makes up 1,52 (1,3; 1,76); SRR for femalesamounts to 1,5 (1,07; 2,04)).
