Characterization of fibre Bragg gratings using the interferometric side diffraction technique with an ultraviolet light source

A set-up for fibre Bragg grating characterization based on the interferometric side diffraction technique has been evaluated. Using an existing grating during the characterizing fabrication facility, the set-up is very easy to implement. A few gratings are characterized to investigate the system reliability.
