This paper describes a tailor-made interactive graphical simulation package for the AC supply system of the Hong Kong mass transit railway (MTR). This Microsoft Windows-based program allow simulation of contingency operations on the MTR power system. The developed software is expected to become the analytical tool for electrical system design engineers to study the current and the future power distribution system of the Corporation. The use of object-oriented programming (OOP) in the Microsoft Windows environment allows a high degree of user-friendliness.
