Previous studies show that frequency response analysis was successful in determining the position of a simulated DVT in 2 dimensions. The depth of an absorber may be correlated with engineering parameters such as phase shift (/spl phi/) at various source-detector (S-D) separations. An attempt is made to develop a method to localize a DVT in 3-dimensions.
