This paper shows that the use of pseudo-random calibration signals gives much better error table coverage than the conventional sinusoidal signals, resulting in better ADC compensation. The phase-plane and state-space error table coverage of the new random calibration signals is compared to that of the conventional sinusoidal calibration signals. For a known nonlinear system, the state-space error tables are generated using both types of calibration signals. The results are compared with the theoretical error table of the system, Each error table is used to compensate the system and the results are compared.
