Direct current interrupting system using an iron core for quench protection of the superconducting coil

摘要

A direct current interrupting system for large superconducting magnets has been developed with a new idea. It is successful to make the system compact and reliable by using an iron core. Simulations and model tests were performed in order to prove the idea. Finally a DC interrupting system can be designed in a practical size.
