摘要

The capacitor excitation/magnetic braking of the induction motor offers, among other attractive features fail safe braking. However, this braking method may induce severe mechanical, voltage and current transients in the motor which itself operates under heavy magnetic saturation. In this analysis, the authors have included leakage flux saturation, and their result shows a better simulation-experimental correlation than if the leakage flux saturation is neglected.
