摘要

The extended equal area criterion (EEAC) succeeds in expressing critical clearing time, stability margin and their sensitivity coefficients in algebraic forms. Single phase switching and reclosing are widely used in China to enhance the stability performance under asymmetrical contingencies. This makes direct methods to face new challenges and provides the motivation to enhance EEAC further to deal with all kinds of single asymmetrical contingencies and some double asymmetrical contingencies. While keeping the previous simplicity, accuracy and fast speed, this new extension makes the EEAC method even more powerful.
