摘要

Within buildings the spread in the time of arrival of UHF radio signals depends on reflection and scattering from the structure of the buildings. To demonstrate this process the authors have carried out measurements of the direction of arrival, DOA, of signals using a synthetic aperture array antenna. Measurements were made at a frequency of 870 MHz. Propagation processes such as penetration through walls and floors, reflection, scattering and diffraction by the steel frame of the building, the beams and the columns have been identified and demonstrated by the measurement results. The waveguide effect of the corridors in guiding the signals to the receiver has also been demonstrated.
