Summary form only given. Based on the answers to four questions concerning age, weight, prematurity (yeso), and hematocrit (optional), a program is discussed which will calculate intubation equipment size, ventilation parameters, fluid requirements, estimated blood volume, and acceptable blood loss, as well as individualized doses of anesthesia medications, emergency medications, and intravenous infusions. The results are displayed on the monitor screen, and a printout is generated. The program is designed to be used on any computer running MS-DOS with at least 256 K memory, one disk drive, and any printer.
