New technology replacing traditional gel lacquer eva-based heat seal coatings

Three important advances have led to new product options for converters interested in discontinuing the use of HAP -solvent gel lacquer heat seal coatings (HSC's).These include (1) the availability of a new,HAP-free solvent designed to replance toluene in EVA-based formulations,(2) new formulation techniques that result in easier to handle modified polyolefin ambient liquid HSC's,and (3) the development of EVA-based copolymer extrudable resins that perform effectively in traditional solution coating applications.
