Abstract: The aim of radiotherapy in the treatment of cancer is to destroy the tumor or inhibit its growth by means of radiation. Multiple beams are often used to spare healthy regions, concentrating the radiation to the extent of the tumor. Critical structures cannot receive large amounts of radiation, and thus they must be easily recognized within the data to allow for a more efficient planning. The design of radiation bemas must then be visualized so that the plan can be evaluated. It is also very important to visualize radiation doses within the data when evaluating a treatment plan. This paper gives an overview of techniques developed to address some of these issues. !16
