This study, which was part of a multi-university AEOLOS investigation involved an assessment of the spatial and temporal variations in they dry depositionfluxes and mass size distributions (MSDs) of total mass, crustal (aluminum and mannesium), and anthopogenic (lead and copper) metals over the southern basin of Lake Michingan. In general the average measured fluxes in Chicago were higher and more variable than fluxes measured away from Chicage. A multi-steep modelingites was used to calculate the measured atmospheric mass size distributions and modeled deposition velocities was used to calculate the dry deposition flux for comparison the the measured flux data. In general calculated fluxes were in good agreement with emasured fluxes. Modeling results indicate that the majority of the flux (>98
