The Current Situation and Trend of Pickling Line with Online Mill of Hot-rolled Stainless Steel

The technology of pickling and rolling in continuous line is the most popular technology in the cold rollingrnarea. It's found great application in carbon steel. But for stainless steel, it has not yet been widely used. A steelrncompany built a hot annealing and pickling line (HAPL) with an on-line rolling mill. This line has two functions,rnone is to pickle the hot-rolled strip, and the other is to rough roll the strip. The on-line mill is the six-roll mill madernby SUNDWIG. It can reduce the thickness by a maximum of 35%. The maximum rolling force is 2100t. The mainrnbenefits are as following: first it can produce 2E products. Second it can reduce the thickness. In this way, therntwenty-roll mill can reach the target thickness with one rolling process, thus can reduce energy consumption.
