A stationary crack normal to the interface between elastically mismatched solids is considered. The structure of plane strain asymptotic field is determined using eigenvalue expansions for mode Ⅰ and mode Ⅱ loading. The strength of the leading singularity and the second order term have been established. The amplitude of the leading term (stress intensity factor) and the second order term (T-stress) were established as a function of elastic mismatch for a thin cracked film on an substrate and for a thin cracked lamina between two substrates numerically. The relevance of T-stress to elastic-plastic behaviour is similar to that of homogeneous materials.
