The effects of processing conditions of a Ttiazinphenolic-epoxy prepreg system with glass and carbon fibers were studied in terms of changes in the short and long term mechanical properties in an hot-wet environment. Tensile and fracture mechanical tests were performed to determine the influence the processing. These data are compared with baseline data obtained from specimen conditioned in a vacuum-oven. The study reveals that besides temperature and relative humidity. The processing conditions have an decisive influence on the long and short term performance by influencing the matrix and the interphase properties. This paper also presents the results of a fractorgraphic analysis of the fracture surfaces from tensile test specimens.
