Production of Magnesium Structural Parts in Vacuum Die Casting

The application of magnesium in the automotive industry is growing and more and more complex parts are being produced. In order to exploit the potential of magensium fully structural parts form an important segment. These parts are safety parts with high quality requirements. It is the aim of this paper to address the production of such parts in die casting from a process point of view.
