The Equatorial West African Margin (EWAM) is a huge and almost unexplored regionrnembracing the offshore area of Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Sierra Leone, Liberia, C?ternd'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo and Benin. It covers approximately 2.5 MM km2 with 360 wells andrnabout 250000 km of 2D seismic and approximately 10000 km2 of 3D seismic.rnRecent deepwater hydrocarbons discoveries in countries like Equatorial Guinea, C?te d'rnIvoire and Mauritania suggest the extension of the deepwater plays along the coast of WestrnAfrica. Specifically, the EWAM zone presents a suite of different plays in shallow andrndeepwaters, which can be considered under-explored on the shelf and totally unexplored inrndeep water.
