A new Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) shuffling sequence system, "EPIMETHEUS"1, has been developed as a next generation shuffling system of GNF. EPIMETHEUS currently comprises a part of the new GNF core management code package, which includes LANCER lattice code, AETNA core simulator, ARGO~3 core monitor, and ePROMETHEUS~A fuel loading optimization system. EPIMETHEUS makes optimized shuffling sequences while taking into account maintenance requirements for Control Rod Drive (CRD), control rod blade, fuel bundle inspections, local power range monitors (LPRM) and the constraint on the minimum count rate of source range monitors (SRM). EPIMETHEUS evaluates shut down margin (SDM) during development of the shuffle using rigorous methods resulting with the AETNA solution. The AETNA solution is based on a three-energy group, three-dimensional analytic polynomial nodal method (APNM). This paper presents the application results of EPIMETHEUS for ABWR in-core shuffling. Reduction of computing time by parallel execution of SDM calculations is confirmed. Also, applicability of EPIMETHEUS for three different shuffling schemes (Ex-core and in-core via full checkerboard, and in-core via checkerboard islands) was tested. The calculation time for ABWR test case is about 3 hours on 2-way quad core PC-Linux system.
