In this paper, authors calculated high resolutionrnvolumetric soil moisture (SM) by means of the Sentinel-rn1 data for the Kampinos National Park in Poland andrnverified obtained results.rnTo do so, linear regression coefficients (LRC) betweenrnin-situ SM measurements and Sentinel-1 radarrnbackscatter values were calculated. Next, LRC werernapplied to obtain SM estimates from Sentinel-1 data.rnSentinel-1 SM was verified against in-siturnmeasurements and low-resolution SMOS SM estimatesrnusing Pearson's linear correlation coefficient.rnSimple SM retrieval method from radar data used in thisrnstudy gives better results for meadows and whenrnSentinel-1 data in VH polarisation are used.
