摘要

Altering operational casting parameters has limited effect onrnincreasing productivity of twin roll cast (TRC) alloys. Furtherrnimprovement can be accomplished by enhanced heat transferrnbetween shell material and solidifying metal. In that respectrncopper alloys are commercially utilized in twin roll castingrntechnology. However, it can be easily predicted thatrnmicrostructure and texture development would be different thanrnthose produced by conventional steel shells. Present studyrninvestigates crystallographic texture development of as-cast 3105rnalloy produced by St/Cu shell pair. Pole figures were employed torncharacterize the dominant texture. Complimentary studies werernperformed by macro and microstructural investigations.
