摘要

Equipment noise in commercial airplane passenger cabins has become a more noticeable noise source due to recent advancement in airframe noise reduction and engine technologies. The noise management on the large number and numerous types of onboard equipment has become a more critical step in meeting airplane noise requirements, especially on the noise sensitivity areas like flight deck and crew rest area. To specify proper noise requirements on commercial airplane for equipment suppliers and to mitigate noise risk through qualification tests, an integrated reception-plate inverse-force method for equipment structure-borne noise specification and qualification has been prototyped and demonstrated. The proposed test setup will enable the measurement of equipment transmitted vibration force and power on a mounting condition matching its airplane installation configuration. One purpose of this work is to fill the need of an engineering-tolerance cost-effective, vibration source characterization method for industry applications.
