摘要

Steps of manipulation is required to complete the modeling of the connection elements such as bolt, pinrnand the like in commerce CAD system. It leads to low efficiency, difficulty to assure the relative position,rnimpossibility to express rules and knowledge. Virtual part based and knowledge-drive connecting elementrnmodeling is proposed, virtual part is a complement set of local modification of part to be connected. In assemblyrnmodeling, base part is modified by Boolean operation between base part and virtual part. The modeling andrnassembly is finished just in one operation, at the same time the rules and knowledge of the connection elementsrnare encapsulated through virtual part. According to this mechanism, a knowledge-based connecting elements rapidrndesign module is developed on commerce software package UG with satisfying results.
