Sustainable Product Development

摘要

New product development is a key business process for maintaining business competitiveness andrnperformance. The nature of new product development is facing a paradigm shift as more and more factors needrnto be taken into consideration. Emerging considerations can be grouped under a general heading of sustainablerndevelopment. This paper will discuss the three pillars of sustainable development and the current concepts inrnsustainable product development. The impact of sustainable development thinking to new product developmentrnwill also be discussed in the context of new developments in Europe.
