Worms in Space (Gene and Protein Expression Analyses of Spaceflown Worms)

摘要

The nematode C. elegans is a useful experimental organism for studies on several biological functions involved in development and differentiation. International Caenorhabditis elegans Experiment First (ICE-First) was carried out using Russian Soyuz from April 19 to 30, 2004. This program was a part of the Dutch Expedition for Life science Technology and Atmospheric research (DELTA). This mission was international cooperation with CSA, CNES, ESA, NASA, JAXA , NASA and SRON (Space Research Organization of the Netherlands).
