SYNTHESIS GAS TO DIESEL FUEL OVER COBALT CATALYST INSIDE NaY ZEOLITE

Metallic cobalt clusters are synthesized inside the cages of NaY zeolite with a novel method, which includes three steps, i.e., ion exchange, precipitation of exchange cations and reduction of the oxide nano-particles inside the zeolites. The effects of several synthetic parameters have been studied. The samples with cobalt clusters inside the supercages of NaY exhibit higher selectivity to n-C_(10)-C_(20) paraffins as well as higher CO conversion in FT synthesis.
