This contribution deals with the hydrothermal synthesis and the structurecharacterization of a new microporous aluminium phosphate Al4(PO_4)_4(OH), NC_4H_(10),labelled MIL-34. The open-framework is built up from interconnected tunnels bounded by 8-membered rings. The cyclobutylamine molecules which are used as structure-directing agentare found at the intersection of the 8-ring tunnels. ~(27)Al and ~(31)P NMR experiments were carriedout and agrees with the different cristallographically inequivalent sites found in the structure.The structure of the calcined form was simulated by calculations and corresponds to thatobtained by the dehydratation process observed by heating the as-prepared material. It resultsin a new zeolite-like three-dimensional topology Al_4(PO_4)_4 based on the AlO_4 and PO_4tetrahedra connection.
