A study on the application of Kansei Ergonomics to concrete maintenance

Humans have struggled to build the physical means to a better life for thousands of years, the results are our social infrastructures. We have created many new engineering technologies. In the field of civil engineering, a great deal of effort has been made on durability and safety of concrete structures. What seems to be lacking, however, is the beautify of appearance of concrete surfaces. There are few investigations toward the soiling on external concrete structures which were built several years ago.
