Remote Diagnostic and Software Testing

There is a plethora of information and tools to aid in testing software. However, many of the available software tools and methods focus on detecting and testing software before it is released into the field. In this paper we present a novel method to dynamically load both testing and diagnostic procedures into a remote running application. Once the remote testing and diagnostic procedures are completed, they are dynamically removed from the field installation, leaving the field installation in its original state. Our approach does not require direct access or privileged access to the field installation. We do require the inclusion of a user written synchronization procedure.
