PETRONAS Experience on Coriolis Performance against Erosion Effect: A Case Study

摘要

Coriotis meter is a mass flowmeter which is just built up by 2 oscillating tubes, pick off sensors and pick up coil. Its reading is very dependent on the tube condition, left and right pick off sensors. Erosion and corrosion to the tube affect the mass of the tube, which makes the tube loss the stiffness, resulting in the tube vibrate more than usual. High tube vibration will damage the pickoff sensors. This paper intends to share on the actual case on erosion happens in a Coriolis meter that is used for custody transfer purposes.
