PROJECT AUDITING TO ADD VALUE

摘要

The paper draws a distinction between project audit and project management audit of a project, shows what a systematic auditing process could look like and describes auditing methods such as documentation analysis, interviews and observations. The roles in the auditing system are described and the need for a clear communication policy is stressed. The authors stress the benefits of auditing of projects and programmes and advocate the perception of auditing as a learning instrument to add value to the project, program and the project-oriented company: Thus project auditing is an instrument of the governance of projects. The authors illustrate their paper by providing an insight into the project auditing practice of a company and conclude the paper with recommendations.
