Abstract: PZT:epoxy composites have been prepared in 0-3 connectivity mode for different weight ratios. A multimode optical fiber is embedded in the structure. The effect of temperature on these samples has been studied for unpoled and poled samples. The results obtained indicate that this can be used for sensing the structural integrity as a nondestructive method, and the sample containing 40% PZT is most suitable to be used as a temperature sensor.
