Studies on antireflection technology of end surfaces for coherent fibre bundles

Abstract: The single-layer coating technology is applied to coherent fiber bundles, and the detailed theoretical analysis and experimental research on antireflection technology of the end surfaces for coherent fiber bundles are described. By coating the end surfaces of bundles with film a quarter-wave in thickness, the reflectance is reduced. Experimental results of both direct coating and indirect coating methods are presented, and the results are analyzed and discussed.
