UNIFIED RELATIONAL DATA MODEL AND DATA RETRIEVAL FOR RAPID PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT

The Unified Relational Data Model (URDM) allows mapping all properties and relations of various objects involved in Rapid Prototype Development into only a few tables. This data model can be used as a basis for the Active Semantic Network (ASN). The ASN has been conceived as a powerful tool for communication and coordination of all activities and documents in product development. In the fixed structure of URDM, any new kind of objects, properties and relations may be integrated as data, without changing the database design. The URDM provides new possibilities to support the data retrieval.
