MANUFACTURABILITY ASSESSMENT DURING EMBODIMENT DESIGN

Embodiment design is a key moment for integratingrnproduct and process definitions. Manufacturabilityrnanalysis can be made early in this stage, enabling anrnefficient contribution of process elements to productrnproperties. The paper aims at presenting howrnmanufacturability assessment can be performed in arnbi-directional way, when the product definition hasrnjust functional information and before the geometryrnhas been completed. The approach is machiningconcernrnbased and is illustrated by an example.
