METHOD OF EVALUATING THERMAL IMAGERS FOR FEVER SCREENING

A set of critical parameters for evaluating thermal imagers for mass fever screening has been identified. The critical parameters, evaluation methods and measurement protocols are discussed in details. More than 30 thermal imagers were evaluated against the critical parameters and other operational parameters according to the established measurement methods and protocols. The results of measurement are presented and analysed. It can be concluded from the results that the proposed critical parameters can effectively reflect the technical performance of the thermal imagers for fever screening, and only very few thermal imagers available in the market could possibly fulfill the requirement for the intended application.
