摘要

This paper aims at illuminating the idea of data-sharing in building design and construction management phases of a project. The paper points out the insufficient functions of current network-based scheduling software (project management software) and proposes a method for auto-generating network-based schedule from CAD drawings directly. An intelligence system (SANS) developed by the authors based on the method proposed is introduced in details. SANS can automatically discern CAD drawings of a project via DXF (Drawing Exchange File) to extract necessary geometric data, breakdown project to activities, calculate quantities and durations of activities, and finally integrate current popular network-based scheduling software, such as Time Line or MS-Project for Windows, to generate schedule of the project. An example is also presented to illustrate the appropriateness of SANS.
