Development of Microsatellite in Hokkaido

摘要

The first meeting of "Hokkaido Satellite Project" was held at April 15, 2003. The mission of this project is to create the new space industry initiated by micro/small satellites in Japanese economy. Several working groups and consortiums were established to date and the feasibility studies were investigated in both the technological and business aspects. The Hokkaido Satellite-I is designed for an agricultural remote sensing application using a hyper spectral camera. The conceptual design was finished by the beginning of January in 2004. The economic impact of the Hokkaido satellite business of No.1 was also investigated.
