ALOS 's DISASTER MITIGATION POTENTIAL AND ALOS FOLLOW-ON SATELLITE CONCEPT FOR DISASTER/CRISIS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

摘要

This paper describes currents status of JAXA's two satellite programs that focus on the disaster mitigations. One is the ALOS program, which is quite new in the space, is operating with three high-resolution sensors, and is active for the disaster monitoring and mitigation. The other is the ALOS follow-on program that focuses on more intensively the disaster monitoring and mitigations, and to be a candidate as the near future program.
