PHYSICAL MODEL STUDY ON SEDIMENTATION PROCESSES AND ITS IMPACT ON BAIHELIANG REACH IN THE THREE GORGES RESERVOIR

摘要

Based on the physical model test results, this paper presents an analysis on sediment deposition characteristics and fluvial processes in the Baiheliang reach during the first period of thirty-year operation of the Three Georges Reservoir. Results of this research provides useful information for establishment of protection schemes for the Baiheliang Carved Stone, a cultural and historical remain in the reservoir area.
